Interview Arrangements:

1. The kindergarten will arrange an interview for all applicants on November.

2. Parents should accompany their child for the interview.

3. Arrangements for Non-Chinese Speaking Children’s School Admission Applications: When meeting with non-Chinese speaking children, school may arrange interpretation and/or translation services for applicants as needed. Alternatively, parents and children may be accompanied by a Chinese-speaking friend or relative to assist with communication. For inquiries, please call 2648 7073 or email kcbchnkg@netvigator.com.

Application Fee:

HK$40 (to be collected on the date of interview). The application fee is non-returnable whether the application is successful or not.

Crossed cheque payable to “Kowloon City Baptist Church Hay Nien Kindergarten”.

Please write the student’s name and contact number on the back of the cheque, and mail it to the school.

• Bank Deposit / ATM Deposit-

You can deposit / transfer funds to the school’s bank account at Bank of Communications: 382-558-02025143 via ATM or bank teller. After the deposit, please keep the “deposit slip” receipt and write the student’s name, then WhatsApp it to 5985 1502 to the school.

• Online Transfer

You can transfer to the school’s bank account through your online banking account. Please be sure to save the “transfer record”, and when making the transfer, please list the student’s name in the remarks or recipient information field, then screenshot the record and WhatsApp it to the school.

Admission Criteria:

1. Interview performance

2. The applicant with sibling(s) currently studying in the kindergarten or graduated will be given due priority consideration

3. The applicant from families in need will be given due priority consideration when applying for whole day classes (As the number of school places is limited, please understand that not all applicants fulfilling the priority consideration will be guaranteed a school place.)

Announcement of Admission Results:

We will inform parents of the K1 admission results by post or phone.

Registration Arrangements:

1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child on specified time “Centralised Registration Dates” by submitting the admission letter, the original of “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” to the kindergarten and paying the registration fee.

2. Applicants on the waiting list: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original of the “2025/26 RC” to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee.

3. Please be reminded that if parents cannot submit the “2025/26 RC” during registration, the kindergarten may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are required to submit application for the Registration Certificate to EDB within the specified period.

The registration fee for half-day place is HK$970 and whole-day place is HK$1570. If the child concerned studies in the KG, the registration fee paid will be refunded in September. Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the KG in writing. The KG will return the RC as soon as possible but the registration fee will not be refunded. Upon obtaining the RC, the KG will no longer keep the school place for the child.
